Our Story

While most people today accept disease and death as “normal” parts of life, they were never God’s original intention. When the world was first created, the Bible records, “Then God saw everything that He had made, and indeed it was very good” (Genesis 1:31). Disease and death only entered the world after Adam and Eve disobeyed the Lord and allowed satanic forces to gain a foothold on humankind (Genesis 3).

When Jesus came to earth, He announced that God’s Kingdom was at hand. He healed the sick, cast out demons, fed the multitudes and raised the dead. All of this was a demonstration of the blessings God intended at His original creation.

If you or a loved one is in need of healing today, remember that Jesus is your Great Physician. When He preached the Gospel of the Kingdom, He healed “ALL kinds of sickness and ALL kinds of disease” (Matthew 4:23). So no matter what kind of healing you might need, Jesus is ready to be your Healer!  Are you ready to receive your healing in Jesus's name?

When Jesus announced His ministry in Luke 4:18, He said He came to proclaim the year of the Lord, a time of restoration.

People today still seek restoration. They hunger and thirst to know God in a direct, experiential way. The sick still need healing, just as much as they did in Christ’s day.

When (Jesus) came to Nazareth, where He had been brought up, He went to the synagogue on the Sabbath day, as was His custom. He stood up to read, and the scroll of the prophet Isaiah was given to Him. He unrolled the scroll and found the place where it was written: ‘The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because He has anointed me to bring good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim release to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to let the oppressed go free, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.’ And He rolled up the scroll, gave it back to the attendant, and sat down.

The numbers of people who were healed by Jesus during His ministry is astounding. When He sent out His disciples to further His ministry, “He gave them power and authority to drive out all demons and to cure diseases, and He sent them out to preach the Kingdom of God and to heal the sick." —Luke 9:1-2

It is the belief of Jesus Lives Ministries that this commandment is still very relevant to Christians today, and that the gift of healing is very much available to those who will simply ask God.
